Rehasense
Powerful and versatile power add-on systems for wheelchair users who want to go further, tailored for everything from urban environments to genuine off-road adventures.
Overview
PAWS, short for Power Assisted Wheelchair Systems, is a power add-on for manual wheelchairs and a great alternative to the car for longer trips in the city and the countryside. The three PAWS models, City, Cruiser and Tourer, are each distinguished by their wheel type and developed for different types of terrain, without needing any frame alteration to the wheelchair itself.
City – 12" or 14" wheel: compact and manoeuvrable, built primarily for city riding and everyday pavements.
Cruiser – 16" wheel: a bigger drive wheel that eats up bumps, equally at home in the city or on a forest path.
Tourer uses a fat 20" tyre for genuine off-road use, handling sand, gravel and stones with ease.
A great alternative to the car for longer trips, giving users who self-propel the extra range to go further without exhausting themselves. Tetra handlebar controls are available for users with reduced trunk and hand function.
We'll help you find the right model and wheel size for your budget and needs during assessment.
